Title: Dehumidifier
Post by: antkmom on May, 11, 2009, 09:23:35 AM

Do you run a dehumidifier in the summer time to get rid of the dampness in the basements?   Ours will be up and running soon.  They help keep the basement much fresher.

We're in the tropics region of the globe and most time of the year its hot where we are. But in the cold regions, it is best to dehumify some areas which could not be reached by the heat of the sun. That way, bacteria and viruses would be eliminated too.

I think it would be a good idea for us to get one. When it rains (and it rains a lot here sometimes!) our basement does get damp. It is still unfinished, so I do not worry about it too much though.

Dehumidifier provide more comfort and humidity control. You can place the dehumidifier wherever you like or particular room. Closing the windows and doors will help to work more efficiency. It also portable so you move anywhere.
