It`s so hot in our bedroom! We have central heat and air but whoever put it in didn`t do it right. The ducts don`t come into our bedroom, so we have window unit. It works sort of but during the day when it`s really hot outside (I live in Florida) it just doesn`t do the job. We can`t afford to get it fixed either. I guess you could call the a vent.

To avoid the problem in window a/c you must clean the evaporator once in a year.  Clean the entire unit of evaporator with brush and check your a/c at back side for air leaks. If you do regularly to avoid unwanted problem.
