Any good remedies for diaper rash?

When my kids were little I used desitine and it would clear up immediately.  I watch a little girl who has horribel diaper rash.  Nothing is working on it.

First of all it is not advisable of using diaper frequently.Because it had a chance to get urinary infection to the child. Occasionally we can use, but check with and change 1 hour once.

speaking about diaper rash, i am a mother of 3..and from my youngest baby girl, she used to have diaper rash when she was still very small, but now that she is 1 year older, i only let her wear diaper at night, and if there is rash in the morning, i only put SUDO CREAM, its a cream from other country, i never saw any cream like that in my country..huhuhu,,its very effective..

Applying a baby powder or ointment may help you to avoid diaper rash. Were you able to try applying it to your baby? This is what my cousin is doing to her 1 year old kid. :o

One very good solution to that problem would be applying petroleum jelly to it.

Coconut oil? That's a new interesting way to deal with rashes. I'm gonna try this sometimes. Was it effective when you tried it?

Alot of people use baby powder when changing the babies diaper.  It helps prevent diaper rash and keeps the baby smelling nice and fresh.

I may be dating myself.  LOL  But, severe diaper rash must stay dry because the child will scratch when the rash in wet and irritable.  The best and most economic product to use is corn starch.  Purchase a box of corn starch, make sure the child's bottom is frequently washed with soap and water at each diaper change.  Do not allow the diaper to become soggy.  We must be proactive.  Allow the child's bottom to get as much air as possible.  With a little persistant and a lot of love--the severe diaper rash will begin to heal within a week.  We as parents must follow through until the diaper rash disappears.  Yes, it is a bit more work  but we protect our children at all cost and a diaper rash is no different.  Let me know how it works out.  SpeakerDivine
