I am very conscious in giving food to my son. I never introduce canned food to him. Doctors advice is try to avoid canned foods. Sometime the canned foods itself will create health problems.

At 2 years of age I would be concerned if my child was not eating solid foods, it is important fro their palate to adjust to the tastes and textures of food and of course to get the nutrients they need. Do you have a  public nurse that you could voice your concerns to ? or a family doctor ?

Maybe you could start off with some mashed food to make it easier to taste or ask him if there is anything he would really like.

Does he eat any finger foods?  At the age of 1, most kids are eating things like toast, bananas, oatmeal, cheese.   I would start to limit the milk and offer him the solids.  If he throws a fit and only wants milk, have him try a food and then he gets the milk.

Be careful on how much milk he drinks.  If he isn't eating and only drinking milk, this could cause a weight problem.

I think you have to mix a little of solid food in his diet ..and experiment on what kind of solid food he likes..

The period from 1-2 years is very difficult for mums. We have to run behind them to make them to eat. But most doctors are saying its child nature to neglect solid foods between 1-2 years. So try to give juice items, they will take solids after 2 years.

Hi guys, I have a 4 year old daughter, she dont like solid food that much, she loves milk a lot, but discipline has a big role on this, i wont give her any milk even if she ask, and afterwards when she is already hungry, she will ask for rice, viand, biscuit, etc, anything that is solid,,i think its a good idea, she will be trained to eat solid food..agree with me guys??? :)
