electric bills
« on: April, 05, 2010, 09:12:11 PM »
Hello I'm new to this forum but I have had my first home since last july. So far it has been good but my last bill was 5 times the highest I have ever had.  My highest bill was for 707kwh and my lowest was 319kwh. My last 2 were under 475 and march was 2871.  The temp was warmer last month and the only space heater I used(elec. Oil filled radiator)  was turned off in feb.  The only appliance that is electric is the fridge. I use all flourescent bulbs and don't use lights that much. I have several terrariums and fish tanks but have never had a bill jump like this. My bill has been paid early every month and there are no extra fees. It is an actual reading and I checked the bill to the meter and they are close. The only thing that was done differently since dec. is unplugging the heater in feb. What could cause this ? Please help!
