LIGHT UP SUMMER NIGHTS WITH THE SUN

Yoshihiro Shimomura, a Circuit Designer, lecturer at Chiba University in Japan, created a solar powered wind-lit LED lights to lighten up summer nights. With a solar power panel during the day, and the night breeze, lights shine during evenings. Shining hours vary according with how much charged they had.

When lights are set outside, the sun generates electricity witch is stored in a battery called electric double-layer capacitor.

A MAGIC SITE: like magic, when darkness fall and wind blows, the lights winkle and shine. People come on purpose to watch. It does attract people to see it. Now imagine a backyard, a terrace café, your way to door entrance, or any other place you want to make it beautifully light enhanced, at no cost.  [/img]

That's a great news! It would be better though if it can also be done in the winter and not just in the summer. Still this is a great step and building a better on. Thanks for posting this here.
