Cold Water Washing
« on: June, 17, 2009, 07:51:13 AM »
We've been only using cold water to do our laundry and I actually think it's saved us on our electricity.  I know we have much more hot water available for use during the day than we did when we used a warm wash for sure.  Also, I'm noticing that it actually gets the clothes just as clean!

For normal clothes with less dirt we can go for cold water washing. For white clothes and other much dirty clothes we can use hot water washing. Because hot water will effectively remove dirt.

Hot water washing will surely consume more current. Try to avoid hot water washing with washing machine to save electricity. Better personally soak the clothes in warm water and then wash in washing machine.

I prefer cold water washing. I use hot water for heavy and very dirty clothes, otherwise i don't require hot water for my washing.

Cold water washing usually adequate to clean white and colored clothes. Keep the water temperature to cold on your cloth washer if the clothes are oily or grease stains. If the cloth are hard to clean then go for warm temperature to clean.

Hey!!!
It is really true if we use cold water for washing clothes then we save energy as well as our clothes too. Hot water consumes lot of energy and also decreases life of cloth.

I usually use warm water when washing clothes, and the result is just normal.

my clothes are usually not that dirty so I don't usually think that my clothes still looks so dirty after I wash it.

I once use a hot water to clean one of my clothes and I really love the result, because my dress became more whiter than before..

But I never was able to use a cold water yet.
