Actually, my family has a habit of leaving the lights open even when not in use. I'm the one who's constantly reminding them, checking and turning the lights off. I have to agree that by doing this, it saves a lot of energy and money.

Most of the time, some of us forget to turn it off in the morning. I would surely hope for a programmable electric light controller to automatically switch on the lights at night and turn it of in the morning, that would be great.

I was raised in a home where if you left a room and did not turn off the light, you'd be in trouble - always, every time. :) Well, it paid off: I keep turning off unused lights on autopilot, saving some $$. Do you do that?

Ya, its good habit of switching off the lights in an unused room. I'll always do when I leave a room.

Good training you have there Lissy. I would want my kids to do the same. It's also one way of teaching them the value of money.

Yes i do turn off the unused lights in my house. If a small practice can save your money so why not to make it a regular practice, so its in my routine.

Regularly, before i leave from my home i checked all the appliance are turn off  or not. Make it as a habit to save your money and to avoid unwanted power problem.
