When washing or drying clothes, consider how big of a load you've got. Many people tend to use the max washer capacity and the longest drying time the dryer has; well sometimes you can use less, and the clothes will be done just fine.

I have begun turning off unused lights, cutting back on laundry loads, and even using the low setting on dryers. These all seem to help my conservation of energy.

Turning off the main supply board would surely be most advisable if you are not using any appliance that should be left on even if you are out of the house. Like the fridge, for instance. Or that would be best if you would be going out on a vacation cause that would mean you havent stored food and other food items in your fridge.  ;)

We usually take short vacations, so we leave the fridge working, with some food there waiting for us when we return. I don't think it does much harm, but if we ever go on a longer trip I will certainly clean it out and turn off.

I too agree with Lissy, its good to leave the fridge in on position as it will have some food or snacks when we return. As the latest technologies was automatically controlling the power to refrigerator it wont consume lot of power.

Just a quick story about a friend whose dad was trying to cut out on their electric bill. After coming home from a 3 day vacation, they almost didn't want to enter their house because of the horrible smell coming from their fridge. Poor dad, he unconsciously turned off the main supply. Instead of saving, they had to buy new stocks for their newly cleaned and disinfected fridge. :)

Try to avoid the computer in stand by mode, it will also consume current.
When you are switching on geyser, immediately put reminder in your phone to switch off it.

Check your vehicle tire pressure weekly once it will increase your mileage and use genuine electrical products it consumes lower energy.Don,t use ancient electrical items it will take huge amount of current.
