Title: What to do about the lights? Post by: crassus on May, 14, 2009, 04:33:25 PM The popular push seems to be turning things off. On the other hand, for security reasons, it is recommended that some lights be left on. So what now? Should these lights be left on when no one is home, or should they all be turned off?
Title: Re: What to do about the lights? Post by: kotosof on May, 22, 2009, 10:11:50 AM I'd say off. Maybe what it meant by just leaving them alone is to avoid turning the lights on and off too often since starting lights would require extra voltage.

Should these lights be left on when no one is home, or should they all be turned off? well i guess in my opinion i would rather turn off the lights ..less electrical consumptions and more safer..anyway our house is near the mercury lights (road lights) which is more advantageous for us.. i dont know Title: Re: What to do about the lights? Post by: tanya on July, 22, 2009, 02:27:28 AM Use lower voltage bulbs in floor and desk lamps for close up work. Install fluorescent lamps in rooms with lights on more than two hours a day. Compact fluorescent lamps produce a warm light and may fit it reduce the energy cost.
Title: Re: What to do about the lights? Post by: herboo on July, 28, 2009, 03:29:53 AM Yeah we can go for low voltage bulbs to save energy. This won't be work good if one or two only implements. Everyone have to implement this idea then only we can save more and let it for near future.

Title: Re: What to do about the lights? Post by: takatenamano on August, 01, 2009, 08:59:32 PM Yeah. It is safer since there are times that bulb suddenly burst out and create a fire. You'll just never know at all.The popular push seems to be turning things off. On the other hand, for security reasons, it is recommended that some lights be left on. So what now? Should these lights be left on when no one is home, or should they all be turned off? Title: Re: What to do about the lights? Better to switch off lights when no one is in home.Yeah but not all the time. Sometimes its alright not to switch off the lights when no one's home so that burglars wouldn't think that. Once they detected there's no one home then they'll probably sneak in. Title: Re: What to do about the lights? Post by: Nicolas_Thomas on July, 26, 2010, 04:36:18 AM These lights should be turned off when no one is on home.
