Entire fence has shifted
« on: March, 27, 2009, 10:59:05 PM »
I've never seen anything like it.  Our entire fence has shifted to the point where the spacing is too wide between the door and post to latch the gate.  It just swings in the wind.  The strange part is that there are 2 separate sections of fence that are broken up by a porch and a bush and both fence gates did the same shifting thing.  I have no idea how or why unless the posts broke at the same time.

This is going to be a huge repair since it fences in a pool.  I don't want a stop gap measure with a 2x4 shoved in the space with a new latch installed.  I want it fixed properly.  Right now, it's so bad we won't be able to open to the pool until it's repaired.

That stinks!  You really want to make sure that it is safe especially around the pool area.

I have a similiar problem. I have a wooden deck and we have made a gate to block the steps for my kids in daycare, so they won't fall down the stairs.  Since it was made, the wood has shrunk or something and it doesn't fit right now.  It still works though.

in that case, you better call the help of people crafted to do the job. lest the same trouble would recur. I guess it resulted from the type of climate or weather that u have in the place...so it needs the help of the knowledgeable on the field.

i bet its a huge repair and cost of money..did you know anyone in your neighborhood to do that? if so then at least you can ask for discounts on the labor compare to others..

Better you can go for some experts in your place to get that done rather than stuggling yourself.
