We are contemplating of having our gate replaced sooner. At the moment its made of wood but it seems that we are having replacement costs more often than we would have done it using steel plates. Any opinion please? thanks

Yes, moisture will ruin wooden gate offen, so its better to have steel plates. Use some good color for the steel plates so that it will give you good feel like the wooden gate.

yeah steel gates are strong...steel plates gate is so beautiful i like them....maximum people used this type of gates

it's more convenient and more wise to use steel plates for gate than using wood for it.

Steel plates are also long lasting and better than woods for making or constructing a gate.

... if using steel, you will want to paint with an epoxy primer and paint, or have it powder coated to prevent rust.
