It is too good if you go for laminate flooring. It is more attractive compared to wooden flooring and is less expensive too.

I am having my kid in my home, so i preferred laminated flooring. IT is very hard. It's main advantage is water resistant, so we can use in kitchen and bathrooms also.

again, too much water on the surface can cause swelling. You must be careful and use minimum water cleaning laminate flooring.

I would also stick with the hardwood unless there is a refinishing problem. if you refinish what you have it would be like having a new floor. Plus yous can refinish them as much as you like changing the stain to match whatever your design for that room will be.
