We are now interested in having stain maple flooring now. However we heard that it is the hardest method used to achieve uniform coloring. Have anyone used this type of flooring before.

I hadn't heard that it is hard to stain, but your best bet is to consult with an expert.

Maple is the hardest wood to stain to get a uniform even flow. It is a very nice wood but it stains with alot of blotching. I have done alot of maple staircases for new homes in the past year but please try to remember that the Maple kick is just a fad and in a few years people will be using something else.

A friend had GRD Flooring do their job staining dark and refinishing their floor.
Looks beautiful. You have to paint the walls very light for contrast.

That sounds like it would look very nice. Someday if I win the lottery I would love to have dark floors.

We have maple doors that I stained, they turned out pretty good. I would not say it was difficult. Perhaps floors are different, since you will need a much larger area looking nice and even.

I think it is a tough choice. Uniform coloring is not possible i think so. If it is damaged it is difficult to repair. Better you consult with the expert.
