Leak in foundation

We are so upset! The last two homes we have had built and both of them the foundations have leaked! That is actually one of the reasons we sold our last house. We wanted to finish off the basement, but with the leak we didn't dare.
Is there anyway to seal a leak from the inside?

Have you tried having a sum pump installed?
A lot of homes have leaky basements, and having a pump beneath the floor, or in an out of the way spot, can make a huge difference!

We have a sump pump already. The leak isn't that bad that the basement collects that much water for it even to need the pump. The problem is in the spring when it thaws out it leaks. There is a puddle on the floor in the same spot every spring. Can't put a carpet down if this is going to continue.

I this water seeping up, or is it coming in from above the ground? It juse seems weird that their isn't enough for a sump pump. but it still shows up every year.
I saw a home improvement show, a while back, Where these poor home owners purchased their house at the bottom of a hil.
Turns out, the house was basically on a bog or swamp and they had water from both above ground, and water seeping up into the basement!
Your home isn't at the bottom of a hil, or sitting in a bog, is it?

Our last home was at the bottom of the hill, but we moved to the top of that same hill. It is coming in just below the window in the basement. Not threw the window either. It is really weird. Just enough to make is annoying, but not enough to really have any damage.

You first need to see if there is any particular place the foundation leaks. This could be due to groundwater outside the house. If that is the case, a simple drain lower than the foundation could solve your problem.

There are drains all around the foundation. I remember them putting them in when we had the house built. It leaks in 1/2 way up the wall. My husband has tried to dig down to it and patch it with black goop, but it didn't work.

We have experienced the same problem. My father told that the leakage will definetly affect the building strength, it is not safe. That is very old house. So we reconstructed totally.

Your home isn't at the bottom of a hill.
