We have built our house - my husband did it all by himself, inviting some help only to pour the foundation and for framing. He did an excellent job, but because it was just him, the project took years. Never again!! If we ever to build a house, we're hiring.

It's not really easy to build a house by yourself, especially if you're not an expert in that field.
