I am having hard time removing deodorant stains from my shirt. I had tried different types of detergents and the enzyme one but nothing seems to be working satisfactorily. I would like to know how you remove deodorant stains from your clothes.

I don't seem to have any trouble with it, just regular washing does the work... I would suggest trying to rub some soap into the spots (regular soap bar) prior to washing, in addition to detergent. Sometimes it helps.

Have you tried on of the spray on stain removers that you squirt directly onto the material before washing?

Oh yes we have this problem too, my husband's work shirts are yellow from it, I have used a product we have here called Vanish, it's actually OK it has removed alot of the stain and you can't see it from the outside, you'd wonder what is in deodorant to make it stain like that.

I remember when they had started advertising those stick deodorants that supposedly "wouldn't stain your clothes." I don't use them, but I have heard so many people complain that staining still happens.

i would suggest u take note of that brand of deo which stains your clothes and replace the same pronto...its the reaction of the chemical contents in the deo when mixed with the sweat that causes the stains...

I would also suggest trying to use SHOUT stain remover. I have used this before and it worked great, esp. on white shirts. Just squeeze, rub and rinse then wash normal. No more caked up deodorant stains.

Have you tried bleaching it? Anyway, if your deodorant causes stains, then you should change to another brand. Your current deodorant might have a lot of chemicals harmful for the skin and also for your clothes.

You shouldn't bleach colored clothes. I would easily suggest to try out other forms of Deodorants that doesn't stain or having too much liquid to eliminate your problem all throughout. Nothing can be better than removing the culprit and never having to look for solutions ever.

That is a great idea. Wish I would have posted it, but most people want to stick with their brand. Maybe try baking soda and water.

Yuk, the yellow stains under the pits of your shirts. I've seen them. They are gross.
I say pre-soak all laundry- Use hot water and put detergent directly on the underarms of the shirts. Let the clothes soak for a bit prior to washing.
I also love Shout. It seems to work the best for stains.

I have used SHOUT stain remover, too, and it works well in most cases. I have not tried it for deodorant stains because we don't have any, our roll-on deodorants don't seem to create that problem. But yes, suggesting to try SHOUT was a good idea.

Oxy spray works really well on clothes.  I have never had a problem with deoderant stains, but I would definitely spray the shirt before washing it.

that is my one of my problem too..stains of deodorant..i guess ill try rubbing some soap as what you had suggested..thanks for the tips here..

Really Oxy spray works good for deoderant strains.

No one has the practice of using deodorant in my home. So i have no problem.

But try with Oxy spray. I have used it to remove other strains.

I agrees with you Lissy, Even I do the same to remove the stains of the deodorant and it works for me too.  :)

i think stains from deodorant is very hard to remove..especially if it dried already..coz of that i had to use another way ..
