When you do laundry, if money happens to appear in the washer or dryer, do you keep it?

My son has a habit of not checking his pockets.  I can always tell when he is the dine in person at work because the next day I find a bunch of ones (his tips) in my laundry. 
So what do you say.....finders keepers?

me too, i had that habit of not checking my pockets. i always caught up by my mom because i always left cegaritte stick in my pocket when i was a student... and in my college days, i always tought that i have lost my money for tuition but i just left it in my pocket and laundry it...

Sometimes I keep the money lol. But my boys do their own laundry now so the money I find is my hubbys. I give it to him but tease him first about finders keepers lol.

nope not on me! i always give any lose change or bills that i had find while sorting the pants and clothes..

If its my husband's, I keep it; but if its my kids', I give it back to them lol.
Seriously, I wait for them to ask me. If they don't, I keep it. That's the price they get for being careless.

It is the usual thing happens in my home. My dad, husband everybody left their dress for laundry without checking their pockets. Not only money, one day i found pen drive in my husbands pocket. I advised many times but they are repeating the same, what to do?

I just did a load of clothes and found $10 in the washer.  Wow~ how nice to be paid for doing laundry.

I usually check all my family members pocket. Because no one don't do that work.

We are having servant to wash our clothes. So i am very careful in doing this.

If its just under a dollar, I say finders keepers. I love getting coins and money over the laundy (of course unintentional) . It just goes to show how people are forgetful at times.

I usually check the pockets of my family member before washing the clothes beacuse my brothers doesn't have  a habit of checking their pockets. But when i find some I return it.

I have to definitely check my son(2years) pocket. Because he has the habit of keeping his favorite items like pencil, rubber, sharpener, chocolates etc in his pocket. Every time when i wash i will found something in his pocket.

I think most of the family women's are facing the same problem. So we have to check their pockets always before washing. It is better............

cool ludy..what a honest woman you are! i admire you on this..if i am in your shoes ..i will not return any loose change or bills ..

Wow, lucky you Antk-- $10 in the washing machine.  I never keep the money I find.  If it is change, I toss it in the vacation fund.  If it is dollar bills, I leave it on the basement steps to see if someone claims it.  There are only 3 of us in the family so it's not hard to figure out whose it is.

Did I tell you the story of my daughter leaving her cell phone in her pocket and it getting washed.
