I even put things that are supposed to be hand washed in the machine...on delicate, with Woolite!  I'm just lazy I guess!  LOL!

I do think that washing out stains by had works better than the washing machine.  I will take the clothes and try to get the stain out before putting it threw the washing machine.  I don't hand wash anything totally.  Washing machines are so much easier!

I do the same, if there is a stain I will wash it by hand first in the kitchen sink.  They always go in the washing machine right after though.

I've only washed by hand once and that was when I needed it the next day and didn't have a full load to do.  What a pain it was, and I don't think I got all the detergent out!

I agree hand wash is better than machine washing. In hand wash we will concentrate more in strained area and wash it neatly. But machine wash won't do that.

Cloth quality will be maintained with hand wash. Sometimes machine wash will damage the cloth. Also we cannot able to wash all the materials at a time. In machine wash, we have to segregate the materials according to color and then wash.

I use both methods, I prefer hand washing for delicate and embroidered clothes where as I wash all my medium and heavy weight stuff in machine.
