Moths?
« on: April, 06, 2009, 08:32:07 AM »
What does it look like if a moth go to your clothes?  I have about 6 tops that have 5 tiny holes right by the belly button area.  Could this be from moths?

Oh no... I'm not sure but it sounds like it could be. Where were the clothes?
I've had problems with fabric softener on the clothes once in the washer. The softener puts holes in the clothing for some reason from time to time.

It could be moths, but it could also be something that you washed the items in.

Yes, it does sound like something moth could do - small holes, sometimes there would be several close to each other, somewhat merging together.

It sounds like mohts alright, they make tiny little hole, you'll need to get Moth balls and hang them where you hang your clothes, they are little nuisances when they get into your clothes.

The clothes were actually hanging in a closet.  Wouldn't I be able to see the moths?
It is weird because it is in the exact same spot on many tops.

That is really odd Antk. In the same spot even on many clothes.  Not sure if you would see them. Perhaps they flew away.  Can't think of anything else it could be if they were hanging in the closet.

I have never seen ants in my house!  Yuck!  Do ants eat at clothing?

The weird thing is that no I see it in my sons shirt too and he doesn't ever put his laundry away.  It is always sittiing in a pile in the laundry room or on his chair in his room.  Could it be something in the washer or dryer doing this?
