Rust stains from washing machine?

My washing machine has decided to leave rust stains on my whites. Any ideas as to why? I did notice a small rust spot inside it. What can I do? Should I paint the spot with nail polish or some thing like that?

don't do anything on your own. better you contact the company and ask their suggestion in this regard.

ask the company person to visit for checking the fault in case it is in warranty period.

i suggest that you buy a paint intended for washing machine skin type..

my advise you better contact the company to fix your machine..don't do anything if your not sure of what you're doing..

There is one product, called Carbona, that is the only thing I've found to remove rust stains from clothes.  You should be able to find it at the grocery store.

I have no idea what to do about fixing the barrel of the washing machine.

i think you shouldn't do that..try asking the the store where you had bought that..do you mean the rust was inside where the clothes are being spin off? i s it not that the the tub is made of rust free materials..?

That is odd that there is rust in the tub of the washer.  Are you sure there wasn't something on one of the pieces of clothing? Or possibly rust in the water?  You can call a hardware store and they should be able to tell  you what you can use.

just put some oil on the rust stains portion or maybe  paint it with enamel ..
