You don't allow the clothes to dry it for full day. Then it will fade.
Allow it to dry for 3 or 4 hours in summer, winter it will take some time depends upon the climate.

Too much of sunlight damages the clothes and makes the clothes hard and rough, so drying of clothes in a shaded area is always better than sunlight, it increases the durability of clothes.

It is good method to set up cloth line to dry the clothes. I have set up two cloth lines one inside the house and other one outside. Summer i prefer to dry the clothes outside.
