also you could put lotion on before putting on gloves to get the Extra Spa effect

Do you mean when you hand wash something? I'd do that to, but when the washing machine is doing all the work, why bother, you don't actually mess with the water or detergent.

yes you are doing the right thing other wise it will damage a lot to our hands.

I never hand wash anything.  I am not that motivated.  I don't buy it if it doesn't go in the machine.

It is great advice though.  This way the harsh chemicals don't get on your hands.

I'm surprised that people are searing gloves while dealing with laundry.  Since most folks have washing machines, the only handling would be transferring damp laundry from the washer to the dryer.

Do you wash all of your laundry by hand?

i also use lotion after washing in a washing machine, cause i need to hang the clothes and sometimes touch the clothes inside the machine when it stops rotating..hehehe,or am i just being OC..hehehe

in my cases,before and after washing I usually used lotion for my hands to remain my hands soft and to prevent damage also of my hands..

I, too, tend to buy only stuff that can go in the washer. Plus my washer has the "Hand Wash" mode, very careful. However, I still own several items that need hand washing, so once in a while I have to do it.

I never wear gloves to protect my hands, but I suppose I really should. The problem is that I hate the smell that rubber gloves leave on your hands, so i tend to wash my hands too harsly afterwards anyway.

I don't use gloves when doing the laundry.I just apply moisturizing lotion after.Besides, my skin is not that sensitive compared to other people.

before doing the laundry i just rub my hands with petroleum jelly for protection and it will never dry your hands , especially when i am washing the underwear, not so much with the rest since i just put it in the machine and after that just hang it..no fuss actually..

yeah i do wear gloves also..and i agree with you it prevents dryness..and all..
