My laundry room is in the garage before I enter into the house. Our garage is attached to the house, and since we live in the Houston, TX area this doesn't cause a problem. I love having it in the garage, and I can still hear the washer and dryer beeps when the load is done. We keep clothes hampers in each bathroom for the dirty clothes.
