Sun and Herbs
«

I have several zones in my yard ranging from full sun to total shade.
Are there any herbs that thrive in shady spots? All of the herbs I have seen say full sun in the instructions!

When things say full sun it doesn't always mean totally full sun all day long. If you have an area that gets at least six hours of sun during the day they should be fine. I have some comfrey and some costmary growing in mostly shade and it does well there so you can try it and see what happens!

For herbs and all full sunlight is not needed. The whole day if they exposed to sunlight during summer, the herbs will be affected. Try to place in lesser sunlight place.

I know mint loves shades, although the problem is it spreads too vigorously, although Corsican mint does not (well, not as much as other mints). Or also lemon balm, since winter can prevent it from becoming too bothersome.
