After basically painting two entire homes over the last couple decades, I recently painted a dark red over a terra cotta clay color and was surprised at how many coats it took. That was the first time we went with something so dark.
I was wondering if there's a specific strategy for getting better coverage in a situation like that.
How about maybe priming with a similarly tinted color instead of white?
