I think you are going to get tired of it really fast!  We use to have a log home and it had to be stained every year.  That is part of the reason we ended up selling it.  We loved the house, but the maintance was a pain!  I'd say go and get siding instead of painting it every year.

Do you feel that you have to paint your house every year?

I wouldn't put that much time and money into putting a fresh coat on, that often.

I prefer low maintenance stuff, so I definitely wouldn't do it. Even with a house that does require painting, I think every year is a bit too often, you will get tired of it, as others have said. :)

Well if you have the budget for it, then paint your house yearly. I think it's a nice way of maintaining your house. It will make your house look brand new always.

I usually paint my home yearly once. Nowadays people have no time to spend more for decorating their home. But keep your home clean and beautiful by painting your home yearly once.

If you can afford it then why not you might as well as walls mark very easily, we need to re paint badly, everywhere looks shabby, I think it's about 2 years since we painted. I am currently doing my 2 boys rooms, once they are done I'll look at the rest of the house.

It doesn't seem necessary to me.  If you keep the outside of your house clean, then you really won't have to paint it yearly.  It will save you on money and time.  Why not spend that time enjoying your family instead of painting.
