Do you like decorating or do you leave it up to your OH to do it? I love painting and will always help when I can. I leave him to do the outside bits though

I'd love to hire people and have it all done nice and quick. We can't afford it though, so we will be painting ourselves. I don't mind the work, I'll be helping my husband.

I fortunately do the painting around my house, my wife helps most of the time, but is not as neat as I would like. I don't knock her though because she actually does help and keep me company when doing it.

I've got an inner designer within me, so I don't mind painting at all .  But I only do interiors--I would hire a professional to do the exterior.  I have HOA, so I don't have to do anything outside anyway.

Being a perfectionist, I often find it hard to paint - I keep thinking I am not doing it well enough or messing something up. I like doing it though.

We usually hire someone to the job for us. But when it comes to painting minor fixtures, I do it on my own. Once I painted our house gate and also our cupboards. Actually I enjoy doing it.

How about kids, do you let them participate in painting? Is their input worth the mess?

I had to learn how to paint when I was a kid. That may be why I would never pay someone for a paint job. Rather, I do it myself.

I like to paint!  Hubby does most of it though, but I wanted my kitchen green on two walls...like a Kelly Green color.  He thought it was a bad idea, until he went hunting one weekend....heh, heh....then he liked it so much he recently painted the other two walls red.  My kitchen is watermelon themed!

I like leaf painting. I draw god Krishna, flowers, birds in the leaf.

Everyone in the house help with painting. Its like one of our bonding moments. So much fun that even my little sister participates. We do this every year.

We usually hire a person to paint our house. I think it is unnecessary strain to do it our self. Moreover no one in my family knows to do it properly.

When my grand father is alive, he used to paint our house fully with one help men. He never hire a person for painting. Now we call for painters and paint the house.

Yearly once i paint my home. We fix a contractor and consult with them before paint. They give me many opinion and models to change into various color. I feel it quite comfortable.

I do it, I hate the way my husband paints, mind you he hates painting, I like to prepare everything first, moving everything that I can out of the room, covering the floor and anything that is unmovable, my husband just paints down on top of everything and has splashes on everything.
