'Rice Broth'
« on: May, 08, 2009, 05:34:21 PM »
:)...anyone here ever tried using rice broth? i called this rice broth but i dunno exactly hows it called. its actually the broth which turns out when you boil rice. The water turning thick, that is it! I have experimented getting the excess bolied water (or the broth) and later use it on cooking veggies or meats. Viola! The taste's good! You can just add seasoning and its all done. Wanna try?

So you just add some of it when you cook meat? Like sauce? Or you make something like stew based on this rice broth? I have not tried it, I think it's a good idea!

Really? I didn't know that you can have broth from your rice. I think I'm gonna try this one for my self. I love experimenting dishes and this idea of yours seems to be a good one.

I know this from my mother.  We call it "AHM".  You can even drink it. Just add some salt.  She said it's healthy.  This is usually given to babies. :)

Useful Tips: Use a piece of aluminum foil when you put a lid on the pot. Just place on top of the pot, then put the lid on top for fluffier rice.

Useful Tips: Don't burn yourself when putting on aluminum foil. Keep the temperature lower. Not all stoves heat at the same temperature.  :)

I haven't tried it, perhaps, this is my first time to heard this. How is it exactly done? I mean, how about the rice? What will happen to it? By the way, would it also be alright for cooking fish?  ::)
